APPSA-Lesotho Conducts a Workshop on Environment and Social Safeguards Management Framework (ESFM) and Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM)

Management of the Department of Agricultural Research, APPSA Project Implementing Unit and Research Technical Committee participated on ESMF and GRM workshop held in Maseru district. The overall role of the above-mentioned entities is to ensure that APPSA attain its objectives. The knowledge and awareness of ESMF & GRM requirements will aid in decision making during project implementation, to ensure avoidance and mitigation of adverse environment and social risks and impacts especially those that may affect disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals and groups, while also enhancing the positive impacts that are inherent to the project.
